Love What You Do

Hello there blogging world. I promise I haven't forgotten about you, it's just been a crazy few days (and the crazy shows no signs of stopping). I purposely took the weekend off from blogging (Saturday & Sundays posts were scheduled) and avoided technology as much as possible. Which was lovely. Monday I didn't really have anything to post about so I continued on with my limited screen time. Yesterday I was out for most of the day and I had more crazy going on so I let the day slip by. I haven't even been reading blogs (that's next on my list for today).

First on my list is to link up with Hayley & Lauren for this week's The Girl Between The Lines. This week people are sharing "The best piece of advance that anyone ever gave you." I am really looking forward to reading through everyones advice. Unlike the last few weeks where I've really struggled to come up with an answer for the prompt this one I knew right away.

Now, Steve Jobs didn't come pass along this knowledge to me personally, it's something I've always been a firm believer in. Steve just put it into better words and shared it with the masses and it sums up the reason why I think it's so important to do what you love.

  1. This is so true. It took me working in a job I hated to realize just how much work impacted my life and overall happiness. Now I just need to figure out what I want to do!

  2. I totally agree with Steve! Its amazing how much of our lives are filled with working, I'm hoping I eventually settle into that job where I feel like I'm not wasting time in my life.

  5. hey there! Visiting from TGBTL link-up and I love this piece of advice. His book has been on list to read as I hear it has great advice. Your advice also touches home for me because right now I am not happy with my job. I work in pharmacy and am just not feeling it anymore. Honestly, I want to blog & be a cater / personal chef / open a little kitchen-y store. I may just follow this advice and look into some changes.... but I hate change! Thanks for motivating me to take control of that piece of happiness in my life!

  6. I agree you must love what you do - I love the scripture in the Bible that talks about doing your work as if you were working unto the Lord. It gives you an entire new attitude when you wake up thinking about it that way.
